Book Club Christmas Potluck

Monday, December 17, 2018

Our annual book club Christmas potluck was this evening.  Every year we each bring a wrapped book to exchange and select our reading list for the upcoming year.  Curious to know what we'll be reading?  Here's our list:

January: Becoming by Michelle Obama (we're going to see her in February when she's in Portland)
February: Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
March: The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
April: The Thing about Clare by Imogen Clark
May: The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
June: Tribe by Sebastian Junger
July: Sapiens: A Brief History of Mankind by Yuval Noah Harari
August: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
September: Green Grass, Running Water by Thomas King
October: Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
November: Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover
December: Christmas Potluck--no book selection

Each month, I write a review on the blog and on Goodreads after we meet on the third Monday of every month, so stay tuned for January's review of Becoming!  Can't wait to crack that cover!  P.S.  I rarely buy books anymore, but I always buy a book if it's one I want on my shelf.  My bookshelf is reserved for only my top favorite books, and I have a feeling Becoming will be one of them, so I ordered it in hardback.  x o, Karli
