A List for the Week

Monday, November 17, 2008

So many things to do this week as Thanksgiving is nearly upon us. There are many errands to run, and household chores to catch up on. I've made a list so I won't forget anything, and hope I find time to get to it all. One of the things on my list is Christmas shopping, which Landon and I do mostly online now. We realized a few years ago how much more pleasant it was to order gifts from home, so that's how we do our Christmas shopping now. I suppose I'll brave Pioneer Place once or twice in the coming month, but for now, it's sites like these that make online Christmas shopping just as fun:

Poppytalk Handmade
Oompa Toys
Blueberry Forest Toys
Indie Fixx

Besides my list of things to get to, Landon was summoned to serve on jury duty today. Here is a picture as he made his way to catch the bus downtown early this morning. We get summoned every two years like clockwork. Somehow, I ended up serving during both of my pregnancies. This time it's Landon's turn. With his ipod and lap-top in tow, perhaps it won't be so boring after all.

It's going to be a busy day, and my cup of coffee is now empty, which is my signal it's time to close my lap-top, get Sam off to school, and get a head-start on this list I've just made for the week. I'm thinking it's going to be a good week, too, judging by the beautiful, crisp, fall morning I can see from my living room windows--and really, nearly anything can happen this week and it will seem like a great week compared to our experiences of late!

I found an amazing toy store called Landbridge Toys:

Great customer service and "Mom" owned and operated. I hope you'll check them out.

Karli Ann,
You always get just the perfect pictures for your blogs! Nice pic of Landon off to jury duty!!
Thank-You for some stores to check-out on-line for Christmas!! I have gotten to the point ~~ since we do not have the money to 'just-go-out-and-buy-anything' for Christmas(who can???) and diffently do not have the energy you have in your youth to go to the malls, etc. so I think maybe I will try the same thing.

If you come up with any idea's for Dad -- let me know!!
I have only been called to Jury Duty three times in my life. The last time I had to decline (was excussed) because of Dad.
