Berry Picking

Sunday, July 29, 2007
Today we headed out to Moon Ridge Farm, which I highly recommend. Their farm is organic, and no where near any nearby farms that use pesticides. We picked about 5 pounds of blueberries. It was a cool, crisp July morning (wait a second, cool & crisp in July?), and rather pleasant for berry picking. I have to admit that I've appreciated the cooler summer this year, being pregnant and all. I'm pretty much a baby about heat more than 90 degrees, and when I'm pregnant, it really zaps my energy flow. Anyway, we loved this farm, the pugs, the kittens, the fresh local honey, and the beautiful location. Samuel loved helping us pick berries. Of course, all of his went into his mouth. I called him my little Sal. Luckily for us, however, there were no grizzly bears in this particular blueberry patch.

It sounds like a place I would really enjoy visiting!! Where do you find all of these places. You are like Aunt Carolyn when it comes to things like tht. She is always finding a lot of places she wants to go. The only differance is you go to the places and she "wishes she could go!"
