Paint, Insomnia, and a Parade

Saturday, June 02, 2007

We spent part of the afternoon at Balch Creek today, and what a beautiful place! It was a slow-moving creek, so Samuel was able to play and walk into the creek with little help. He spent a long time throwing many rocks downstream. Afterwards, we picked up some new bath towels at Restoration Hardware, and I saw some colors in their paint line while I was there that I think I might really like for our bedroom--plus, you can match RH's bedding and drapes w/ their paint line, so our bedroom project might end up a lot easier than I originally anticipated. I'd already decided to get our bedding at RH, so coordinating their paint w/ their other products makes sense, especially since they created their paint line to match their linens.

On another note, I had probably one of my worst cases of insomnia last night--I didn't get to sleep until 5:30AM! I was so exhausted today! And what an active day we had. We even went to the Starlight Parade, which Samuel loved, and didn't get home until 12AM. Samuel was so cute, and found a friend on the front line, and held her hand the whole time. It was his first parade, and it was a big hit!

Landon was so nice--I owe him! He let me sleep in Samuel's air conditioned room by myself, and he took Samuel in our bed, so I could get a decent night of sleep after what happened last night. I usually wake up 4 or 5 times to go to the bathroom during the night, but last night, didn't wake up once until morning. I don't think I've had a night of deep sleep like that since I became pregnant with Samuel!

Still feeling pretty well as far as the pregnancy goes...just really tired all the time. But, the nausea and headaches have completely disappeared (knock on wood). I really love the 2nd trimester!
