It was my sister Shelly's 25th birthday celebration tonight in McMinnville, so I left at around 3:30 to head down there, as I also wanted to stop at Annie Bloom's to buy her a copy of Jennifer Egan's novel, The Keep. We arrived at about 5pm, and took some pictures of my Mom & Dad before everyone got to the house for their Christmas cards. I'm so not ready to think about Christmas (or Thanksgiving) yet. Some years, I wish I could just skip celebrating the holidays. Other years, I am into it. This year, I'm not so into it. We might have fun, though, since Samuel's a bit older this year. I'm looking forward to getting a tree & decorating it. Then again, it might be a disaster with him pulling decorations off & playing with the lights. I'll have to give it some thought.
Anyway, my Mom made a delicious stew, and Shelly opened up quite a few nice gifts. Happy 25th, Shelly!
