We spent a lot of time today shopping for an area rug. We had a nice time, though, shopping at Bridgeport Village and spending time together with just the three of us. The looking paid off when we stopped in at Marion's Carpets in the afternoon. We had just eaten lunch at Tony's Bento, and Samuel slept the whole time we were there, which meant for a positive shopping experience. Plus, I'm glad we had the foresight to eat beforehand. No one likes to shop when they are hungry! Marion's Carpets had cheap area rugs of good quality--finally, a break in the situation! Afterwards, we went to Home Depot and got some carpet padding to put underneath it. When we got home, I put Samuel down for a nap, and we got the area rug all set up. We pushed the coffee table out of the way. Voila! We now have a safe play area for Samuel, and a more comfortable living environment, which makes a big difference when you have an 890 sq. ft. house!
