Landon came to the hospital at 9am, and I told him that the nurses & doctors said I should stay until the early afternoon or evening until I was feeling better. I was still pretty uncomfortable, and not feeling ready to go home yet. Landon started reading his book, then at around 9:30am, went downstairs to get some coffee. They brought me breakfast, which was chicken broth, tea, jello, and apple juice, and I was able over the course of two hours to finish all of it. I still had an IV drip, though, so I was still getting plenty of fluids for the baby. By 11am, I asked for some more pain medication, and I was starting to feel better. By 12:30pm, they brought me some lunch, and I ate a roll, some raspberry sorbet, and a little stew & chicken noodle soup. By 2pm, I decided I was ready to go home. Landon carried my things out to the car, I slowly got dressed, and the nurse discharged me with instructions to call the surgeon on Monday for a follow-up appointment, and to wait until tomorrow to take off the surgical dressing. I was given a prescription for percocet, and left for home. When I got home, I started to feel pretty uncomfortable again, and was having a hard time finding a place I could lay down. Landon finally helped arrange pillows on the bed to make it more comfortable for me, then left to go get some things I could eat at the store. I slept for about 2 hours while he was gone, and while he was cleaning up the kitchen and making me jello and pudding. When I woke up, I felt in pain again, so I took another pain pill, then laid down and rested. Landon left again to go pick up his coat at Mike Beglan's that he had left there, and while he was gone, I got up and walked around, because that was more comfortable to me than laying in bed. I ate some soup and some jello. When Landon got home, we watched Scary Movie 3 together (very lame, do not rent it!), then went to bed. I woke up about every 2 hours again, and sipped some water, went to the restroom, then was able to go back to sleep. I slept from about 10pm-8am, so I got about 10 hours of sleep in, and I was pretty happy with that, because I had fully expected (like I had when I was in the hospital) to not sleep well at all, and to be generally uncomfortable all night. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised with two nights of good sleep and much-needed rest.

Happy 21st Birthday, Janssen!
