Last night, I was so tired that I fell asleep by 10pm watching Barbara Walter's 25 on 20/20. It was okay, and definitely helped me fall asleep. By 7am, I was NOT ready to get up and get ready for work, so I ended up falling back to sleep, and overslept. I had 15 minutes to take a shower and get out the door for work, and ended up being 7 minutes late to work--oh, well! I've been dealing with some new side effects in pregnancy--esophegal reflux and bulging, painful veins in my legs that cause leg cramps. I'm trying to keep my feet elevated, but even when I get out of bed in the morning, there are blue veins around my ankles that are visible and slightly uncomfortable.

After work today, we went out to celebrate Mike & Landon's birthdays. Landon is the same age now that Mike was when Landon was born (25), and Mike is now 51. Their birthdays are 10 days apart. We went to a new place on Division in SE Portland--Thai food, my favorite! The restaurant was new to us, but we all thought the food was excellent, and the price was right. Afterwards, we walked to an ice cream parlor and had ice cream. Then, we went and rented a movie, The House of Sand and Fog with Jennifer Connelly and Ben Kingsley. It was really good, but very sad. I would highly recommend the movie when you are in the mood for a good drama, because it is excellent. All in all, it was a good birthday celebration. When we got home, Landon showed me all the finished trim work that he and his Dad had worked on all day. Looks so nice! I can't wait until I can tell our baby some day how Landon and Mike put up all the trim. It looks so nice, and a lot of love is going into the baby's room. Right now, it is the only room we have worked with in our house, so it is now my favorite room in the house to be in. I think we might work on our bedroom next.
