Today, I have to read for at least 10-12 hours to get all my reading done. Other than that, I don't think that leaves much time today to do anything else. Since there isn't anything else to post for today, here is a letter I wrote to a woman in SW Portland yesterday that had a thief break into her garage and steal all seven of her purebreed puppies.

Hello!
I just read the story about your stolen puppies on kgw.com.
http://www.kgw.com/news-local/stories/kgw_022304_news_stolen_puppies.1efd1d92.html
I am so saddened to think someone could do this! As an animal lover myself, I couldn't think of a worse thing to happen than for someone to steal my cats. I know these puppies were not destined to be your pets, and were scheduled to be sold to different homes, but still--I can't imagine the shock of having them all stolen like this. I bought my Himalayan cat, Felix, from a breeder in eastern Oregon, and from the time he was born, I was sent pictures and updates. If he had been stolen before I had brought him home, I would have felt personally robbed. The people who had already paid deposits on puppies must be heartbroken!

Also, you have to wonder if the type of person that would do something like this will take care of them and sell them to good homes. It is so sad! I am really sorry about this. If there is anything I can do to help track down the thief, let me know! I live in SW, and will keep an eye out for these puppies in pet stores. I will also send this story to friends and family so they can keep an eye out for the puppies, also.
