Design Sponge

I know I'm not the only one out there that's a huge fan of Design Sponge and their diy projects. This tea shelf, from diy Wednesdays (love diy Wednesdays--look forward to those posts every week!), grabbed my attention and I starred it in Google Reader for future use!

Also on Design Sponge this week--did you see these vintage garden markers? A little spendy, but super cute, and would make a great gift. You can buy them in the Etsy shop Monkeys Always Look.

I got hooked on stop-motion filming after seeing Coraline back in February, so I really loved this short video posted on Design Sponge yesterday, which was made for the compost modern conference in Maine:

[film by goodfocus, music by au revoir simone, art directed and co-produced by beth taylor]

Check out the Pandora station for Au Revoir Simone--after seeing this video, I pulled it up and I'm loving it so far. Ever heard of Vampire Weekend or Mirah? So good!

If you don't subscribe to Design Sponge, check it out. Launched in the summer of 2004 by Grace Bonney, it's a constant source of ideas for restoration, design, product reviews, before and after makeovers, and the list goes on--one of my favorite design blogs by far!

I love Vampire Weekend! They're one of my absolute favorites! I'll have to listen to au revoir simone.
