17 Months

Our little daughter, Juniper Octavia, is growing up quite nicely, we think.

She likes to give tight hugs, kisses our cheeks all the time, making cute little kissing sounds, and tries to do everything she sees her big brother Sam doing.

She loves playing musical instruments, and dancing to music, which we often do in the afternoons together.

She is an observant little girl, constantly watching patterns and routines in the home, then later insisting that those routines are carried out.

She's on the verge of a language explosion, and I expect she'll be saying new words daily within the next week or two. Already, she can say "dog, cat, ball, bar, Mama, Dadda, and chicken."

Juniper is very much a little girl, different in so many ways from her older brother.

Watching my children grow and change is an ongoing source of joy to me. I'm looking forward to the weeks and months ahead as Juniper starts communicating--I really wonder sometimes what she's thinking. Happy 17 months, Juniper!
