Celebrating Father's Day

Sunday, June 15, 2008

We had a nice time down in McMinnville this afternoon at my parents' house in McMinnville. The vineyards always make for a pleasant drive. One of these days, I'm going to go on a wine tour. It's sad, really--I'm from Yamhill County and have never set foot on one of the countless vineyards in the area! This is definitely on my list of things to do in 2008 (okay, I'll be reasonable and extend this list to 2009 or 10).

Happy Father's Day to my dear husband, Landon, who is still feeling unwell, and to my own Dad, who has broken every statistic and recently celebrated his 3 year post-pancreatic cancer diagnosis. His doctor says he is now considered cured. I'm always grateful for every year I have with all my family members. May there be many more years to come . . .

Let's do it! Next year sounds good...we might actually be able to catch a window in time next year when none of us are pregnant!

Karli,
I'm surprised that you didn't put some of the really cute pictures in your blog that I took of the kids. Although I will have to say I took a long time sending them to you.
The one of the three boys, the one of you and Juniper by the purple rodies, and the one of the kids in the swing.
It was a perfect day and beautiful weather! I was so glad to see all of you.
Love,
Mom
